In September 2020 I was lucky enough to be invited to take part in a street theatre performance in Göttingen, called “Fenster auf”/”Open the windows”. The show was created by the Boat People Projekt, a theatre group from Göttingen. It included musical bits and readings of well- known authors and newly written texts from Germany, Egypt, and Romania. Being able to perform in a year that proved to be so difficult for artists was a blessing. Even more so, the show brought me immense joy and inspiration, as I had multilingual collaborators from all around the world and a wonderful team which made me feel safe and integrated. I am deeply grateful for this amazing opportunity and looking forward to more work of this kind.
